River Grid

Description

I used Modroc and modelling paste to sculpt the foundation of this artwork, creating a textured and dimensional background. Layered on top are paper transfer of Lyon, France, capturing the city's architectural map. The third dimension is a paper cutout of Lyon's grid, which adds depth and detail. I finished the piece by adding handmade wire flowers, which provide a gentle contrast to the urban environment below.
